Apple Raises iPad and Mac Trade-In Values

News

Apple today updated its U.S. trade-in estimates, raising maximum values across the iPad lineup and for most Macs following today’s announcement of the new iPad mini.

Every ‌iPad‌ category has gained value, although the increases are relatively modest. The ‌iPad mini‌ and standard ‌iPad‌ both rise by $20, while the iPad Air gains $15 and the iPad Pro increases by $10. The revised maximum estimates are as follows:

iPad Pro: $905 to $915
iPad Air: $510 to $525
iPad mini: $320 to $340
iPad: $280 to $300

The Mac sees substantially larger increases, led by the Mac Pro, which gains $365 after holding at $2,195 in the previous update. The Mac Studio rises by $240, while the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air gain $120 and $90, respectively:

MacBook Pro: $1,315 to $1,435
MacBook Air: $705 to $795
Mac mini: $620 to $645
Mac Studio: $1,460 to $1,700
iMac: $385 to $440
Mac Pro: $2,195 to $2,560

The iMac Pro is the only listed Mac category left unchanged, remaining at up to $340. All listed iPhone and Apple Watch trade-in estimates also remain at the values from September.

The increases continue a run of higher Mac trade-in estimates this year. The ‌MacBook Pro‌’s maximum value has more than doubled from $690 in May to $1,435, while the ‌MacBook Air‌ has risen from $520 to $795 over the same period.

Apple’s listed values are maximum estimates, with final offers depending on a device’s condition, year, and configuration. Trade-in credit can be applied toward a qualifying new purchase or added to an Apple Gift Card.Related Roundups: iPad, iPad Air , iPad Pro, iPad mini, Mac Studio, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Mac miniTag: Apple Trade-InBuyer’s Guide: iPad (Don’t Buy), iPad Air (Neutral), iPad Pro (Caution), iPad Mini (Coming Soon), Mac Studio (Buy Now), MacBook Pro (Caution), MacBook Air (Neutral), Mac Mini (Buy Now), Mac Pro (Don’t Buy)Related Forums: iPad, Mac Studio, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Mac mini, Mac ProThis article, “Apple Raises iPad and Mac Trade-In Values” first appeared on MacRumors.comDiscuss this article in our forumsMacRumors: Mac News and Rumors – Front PageRead More
